Post-military, he assumed the role of Section Leader at the Wounded Warrior Battalion at Navy Medical Center, San Diego, CA. In this role, Jeff blended the discipline and standards of the Marine Corps with a profound understanding of the challenges faced by wounded, ill, and injured (WII) Marines. Establishing personal connections with each WII Marine, his primary focus was on providing daily accountability and motivation, advocating for their coordinated medical and non-medical recovery efforts.

Beyond medical appointments, Section Leaders under Jeff’s guidance orchestrated comprehensive schedules that encompassed both medical and non-medical requirements. This strategic approach aimed to ensure WII Marines not only stabilized medically but also progressed productively toward a successful transition. Active participation in Lines of Operation programs—focused on Mind, Body, Spirit, and Family—played a pivotal role in their triumphant reintegration.

Jeff’s tenure at the Wounded Warrior Battalion laid the groundwork for the unique culture at The Patriot Group—a company where disabled veterans find a sense of belonging and camaraderie, reclaiming the spirit of being part of a team.
